Justin Timberlake’s Next Project: Improving MySpace

Justin Timberlake has become such a hardworking, multifaceted entertainment personality that it’s become difficult to keep track of all his projects. There’s the music career, which has seemingly been put on hold for the time being; the burgeoning film career, which has taken up most of JT’s time of late; then there are his entrepreneurial efforts, particularly his newly acquired stake in MySpace.
When MTV News recently caught up with the very busy jack-of-all-trades as he promoted his new film, “In Time,” we asked him to do a bit of career forecasting for us and reveal what he’s working on next. We were pleasantly surprised to find out that first, he’s going to be hard at work on revamping MySpace and second, he might be planning an actual vacation.
“I don’t have anything on my plate other than think-tanking a lot of different ideas for MySpace, which doesn’t require a lot of my literally being present,” Timberlake said. “I can come up with ideas on the golf course. I can come up with ideas on a mountain while I’m snowboarding. Seriously, I don’t have anything on my plate for the rest of the year. I am going to take a vacation. I’m going to find out what a vacation really is.”
And in addition to all the exotic-locale-based think-tanking and vacationing, might Timberlake have any free time to pay a visit to his favorite NYC-based variety show, “Saturday Night Live”?
“I don’t know,” he said. “Those things are spur-of-the-moment. I don’t have plans to host, but those things are spur-of-the-moment for sure. Even if I had plans, I wouldn’t tell you,” he added with a smile.

Last month, Britney Spears teased a snippet of her Femme Fatale track “Inside Out.” Now, a bit more of the sexy track, including some of the song’s reported lyrics, has hit the Net.
In the new 30-second teaser for the song, posted on MuuMuse.com, fans are given a taste of not only part of the chorus, but also part of one of the song’s bridges, which features a booming mid-tempo beat. Spears, in her signature style, sings, “You touch me and it’s breaking me down/ and me down, and me down, and me down/ I’m telling you, let’s just give it up and get down/ and get down, and get down …”
On the breakup track’s chorus, she sings, “So come on/ Won’t you give me something to remember?/ Baby shut your mouth and turn me inside out/ Even though we couldn’t last forever, baby.”
Other lyrics seem like a switched-up version of those previously released. Neither set of lyrics has been confirmed as the album version. “Said you’re gonna be here in a minute/ Sitting in the mirror getting pretty/ Gotta look my best if we’re gonna break up/ Gotta look my best if we’re gonna break up,” the reported lyrics read.
The lyrics go on, “I can hear you knocking at the front door/ And I know exactly what you came for/ Try to say goodbye but it’s hot and heavy.”
The previously reported lyrics were: “Said you’re gonna be here in two minutes/ Sitting in the mirror getting ready/ Gotta look my best if I wanna break up/ Gotta look my best if I wanna break up/ I can hear you knocking at the back door/ And I know exactly what you’re here for/ Trying to say goodbye but I’m not that ready.”

Britney Spears To Get New ‘Glee’ Tribute Episode

The news comes hot on the heels of the announcement that Spears will join the "X Factor" as judge, when the competition show returns to Fox this fall on Thursday nights. (Glee also moves to Thursdays for season four.)</P><P>While Brit appeared in the September 2010 tribute episode, which used her impressive collection of hits, the 2012 tribute episode will instead focus on her "Glee" namesake, Brittany S. Pierce (played by Heather Morris), without any appearances from Spears. <a href="http://insidetv.ew.com/2012/05/15/glee-scoop-second-britney-tribute-exclusive" target="_blank">EW.com</a> reports that the new episode will be the second in the show's fourth season, returning in the fall.</P><P>The Spears-centric episode will feature eight of her songs, and a source revealed that Fox is excited to have Spears joining the network on "X Factor" and that the "Glee" ep is partly a reflection of that.</P><P>Spears was on hand Monday at the Fox Upfront presentation in New York City, where she appeared alongside fellow <a href="/news/articles/1685057/demi-lovato-britney-spears-x-factor.jhtml">"X Factor" newbie Demi Lovato</a>, as well as returning judges L.A. Reid and Simon Cowell. At the event, the judges and host of "So You Think You Can Dance" weighed in on the <a href="/news/articles/1685066/britney-spears-demi-lovato-x-factor.jhtml">ladies joining the show</a>.</P><P>"I don't have any advice for those ladies," "SYTYCD" host Cat Deeley told MTV News. "What I do like about it though is they will be able to absolutely impart some serious wisdom. I love the idea that they've been in the business for so long and since being kids, and so quite often they've had successes and they've had failures on things.</P><P>"And I think the most important thing is the mistakes we make," she added. "You learn so much from mistakes that you make and I think they'll be able to impart their wisdom to the new kids coming through. With the Summer Olympics going down in London this July, the magazine world is taking notice of the fittest bodies around. Namely, for their cover, Serena Williams, soccer star Hope Solo & swimmer Ryan Lochte.
In the Annie Leibovitz-shot feature, the Olympic hopefuls pose in their swimsuits and fashionable sports gear while showing off their toned and rock hard bods. It’s a good look for the fashion designer/nail tech/top tennis player in the world.

The first time Dwyane Wade went to the Olympics, in 2004, he was really still in awe of his heroes. Having grown up on the South Side of Chicago (where he is at work building a community center), he idolized guys like Michael Jordan, whom Wade, 30, patterned himself after in a lot of ways. “We grew up watching the Dream Team, and we thought it was an honor to be on the team,” he says of his fellow rookie Olympians, players like LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony. He was shocked when, in Athens, the all-stars lost to Puerto Rico, Lithuania, and then to Argentina in the semi-finals—a golden flop, 89–81. “We had to wait four years to get back and hush everybody up and redeem ourselves.”
He flew past injuries—you don’t make mind-blowing layups without risking at least your hamstring—to lead the so-called Redeem Team in 2008. He scored big when it mattered, especially in the difficult final game against Spain. When Kobe Bryant and LeBron ran into foul trouble early and were benched four minutes into the game, Wade surged ahead, coming up with three three-pointers and reigniting the team’s fight for the gold. Is he surprised to be up for 2012 in London? “I thought Beijing would be my last one, but here I am!”

Beyoncé has had to deal with dozens of scurrilous, absurd and outlandish rumors over the course of her career. And like most stars, she has ignored the majority of them, responded to some and mostly just let the talkers talk. But after the Internet blew up earlier this week with rumors that the pregnant singer was sporting what some were calling a “fake” baby bump during a recent TV appearance, enough was enough.
Beyoncé’s publicist, Yvette Noel-Schure, told ABC News on Tuesday that the allegations are “stupid, ridiculous and false.” The rumors were sparked by an appearance Beyoncé made on Australia’s “Sunday Night HD” in which her midsection seemed to deflate and fold over in an odd manner when she sat down for an interview while wearing a loose-fitting red dress.
It was during that appearance that Beyoncé — who revealed her pregnancy — at the 2011 VMAs confirmed that the child she is expecting with hubby Jay-Z is due in February. “I just feel like it’s time and I’m very grateful that God has blessed me with the biggest gift any human can have,” B said during the interview. “If there’s any time, right now is the time, and I’m so happy.”
Before the bump-troversy erupted, Beyoncé told </i>Harper’s Bazaar</i> that she doesn’t get worked up over gossip. “I am finally at the stage in my life where I am not so concerned with other people’s opinions about my life decisions,” she said. “It is really liberating to know what I want, to know what truly makes me happy.”
And while the super-couple have always kept their private life off limits, the “Countdown” singer did reveal a bit about her relationship with Jigga in the November issue of the magazine.
“We took our time and developed an unbreakable friendship before we got married. … But like anything great and successful in your life, marriage takes hard work and sacrifice,” she said. “It has to be something both you and your husband deeply want. The best thing about marriage is the amount of growth you have because you can no longer hide from your insecurities. There’s someone right there calling you out on your flaws and building you up when you need the support. If you are with the right person, it brings out the best version of you.”

Physically, Vanessa Hudgens is basically a less famous version of Selena Gomez, but sources say Justin Bieber sees something in the High School Musical star that he doesn’t see in his current boo.
The two starlets spent several weeks in Florida filming Spring Breakers over the winter and Justin was a frequent visitor on set. According to the National Enquirer, however, the Biebs was interested in more than just visiting his girlfriend. “He was there to see Selena, but he wound up falling hard for Vanessa,” said a source who spoke to the tabloid. “He couldn’t stop raving about how smart, sexy and talented she is. Plus, he loves the fact that Vanessa is like Selena, but minus the goody-two-shoes personality.”
Doesn’t sound like the Justin we know and love, but this is the Enquirer we’re talking about, so take it with a grain of salt. Hard to believe JB would stray, but if the rumors are true, hey…ya gotta let a Bieber be.
The important thing is, this news gives us all a reason to ogle some pics from the Spring Breakers set. Enjoy!

Usher Sought ‘Creative Way’ To Debut Looking 4 Myself

<P>Sure, anyone can hold an album-listening party at some record label's headquarters or, to really mix it up, some swanky nightclub. But for Usher, that just wasn't enough. When he was looking for a way to debut tracks off Looking 4 Myself,</i> out June 12, he found another way to spread the word.</P><P>Last month, Usher appeared in the off-Broadway show “Fuerza Bruta,” in which he played the male lead, Running Man, for one night only. During the show, he played all his newest, shiniest tracks for lucky theatergoers. When MTV News spoke to him exclusively during rehearsals, he explained that his part in "Fuerza" provided the perfect pairing between the themes on his album and the visuals of the play.</P><P></p><div class="player-placeholder right" title="Exclusive First Look At Usher's 'Fuerza Bruta' Performance" id="vid:769347.id:1685086" width="415" height="255"></div><p></P><P>"I mean, life is like that in a lot of ways. This was something that I organically came to," he explained. "When you think about the lyrics of 'Climax,' 'Going nowhere fast/ We reached the climax' … 'Going nowhere fast' would be running in place," he explained, referring to a part in the show where he runs on a treadmill, never actually ending up anywhere.</P><P>"<i>Looking 4 Myself,</i> I'm walking with my head down, counting every step," he explained, referring to another act in the show. "I'm always trying to find very creative ways for the music and the art to work together and this is it. I only hoped it would be viewed in that way, in an unprecedented way. I hoped that people would be able to identify with it and become acclimated with my experience in a fun way, creative. This was kind of an emotional experience that leads you into my world."</P><P>Usher has even more to share about his experience in the show as well as his highly anticipated album release. He will open up during “MTV First: Usher,” set to take place on Wednesday, May 16, at 7:54 p.m. ET on MTV. The movie may be called Snow White, but its three stars were decked out in black for last night’s world premiere in London.
Despite some questionable dress choices by the women (Seriously, what was K-Stew thinking?), all three looked hot and happy to be there. Of course, the nature of the movie invites us to argue over who’s actually the fairest of them all. Kristen is looking better than ever these days, but it’s hard for anyone to measure up to Charlize, even when she steps into the wicked step-mother role.
Hemsworth, meanwhile, is a new dad, star of the world’s biggest movie and flanked by two of the hottest actresses in Hollywood. So yeah, he’s smiling for a reason. Snow White and the Huntsman hits theaters June 1.

Did Rob Kardashian Survive ‘Dancing with the Stars’ Elimination?

Two weeks ago, Rob Kardashian decided it was time to rededicate himself to practice with partner Cheryl Burke and start really putting in his all on Dancing with the Stars. But was his new attitude enough to save him from elimination?
Despite his hard work, the 24-year-old USC grad landed in the bottom two this week. But in the end, it was Chynna Phillips and Tony Dovolani who were shockingly booted from the ballroom.
Phillips and Dovolani were in first or second place every week of the competition until Monday night’s "movie theme" dance, when Phillips failed to remember her Mission: Impossible routine and looked visibly shaken as Dovolani had to verbally remind her of the steps. They received a 21 for the performance, but seemed to remain one of the top contenders for the Mirror Ball trophy. Unfortunately, the audience votes did them in, putting their formerly "stunning" dances to an end.
"I’m disappointed, I’m sad, but I have to take responsibility. I messed up," Phillips said. "I have an amazing partner. I love you, Tony. You’re amazing. He’s been there for me 100 percent the entire way. I’m really grateful to have been on the show. Thank you for everyone who voted for me."
"I really thought she was the one to beat!" Ricki Lake admitted after the show. "She had such beautiful lines and I’m so sad for her."

Before the elimination shocker, viewers were treated to a special visit from former Dancing with the Stars champ, Julianne Hough, who performed with her Footloose costar Kenny Wormald to a medley of the soundtrack’s songs. And their crowd-pleasing performance culminated with country singer Blake Shelton‘s live performance of his new "Footloose" single.
Afterward, a teary-eyed Hough, 23, told the audience and her fellow dancers, "I’m emotional. This is like coming home." Later in the episode, Hough danced with her big brother Derek Hough, 26, who was safe from elimination thanks to his leader board-topping dance with Ricki Lake.
